The Senior Payroll Manager EMEAI is responsible to lead the payroll function in the EMEAI region by overseeing and directing payroll procedures across SCIEX in EMEAI and responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant social and labor laws, audits, and tax obligations.

The Senior Payroll Manager EMEAI is joining a diverse and dynamic team to lead the charge in transforming payroll operations across diverse regions from a central point. You will be managing end-to-end payroll processes, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and fostering excellence and a culture of belonging. This position would ideally be in the Netherlands, Rotterdam but could also be operated from Germany, Darmstadt as well and will be part of our Finance Shared Service Center team.

  • Supervise payroll and payroll accounting functions in EMEAI, ensuring timely payroll preparation and reporting.
  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to payroll teams, coaching and developing team members, focus on strategic projects, and continuous improvement opportunities in payroll.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and systems for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across ~20 countries.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, vendor contracts, external advisors, auditors, and local authorities,
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll issues and integrate processes.
  • Offer expertise in payroll laws and regulations, advising on risks and implementing mitigations.
  • Oversee payroll reporting, analysis, and data integrity, ensuring confidentiality and implementing security measures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, Human Resources, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading payroll functions and transformation projects.
  • +10 years of relevant payroll experience required, including leadership of a multifunctional team for at least 5 years.
  • Strong background in payroll accounting and solid accounting skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll and taxation in the EMEAI region and USGAAP.
  • Excellent understanding of HR processes, multi-country payroll and tax systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll software packages, HRIS, ERP systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Oracle), and MS Office, especially Excel and Power BI).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in payroll vendor consolidation and migrations projects (organization / solution).
  • Experience in managing and/or operating in a multi-tiered support structure.
