This individual will be based in India but will primarily work with customers in the US. This role requires the ability to manage time efficiently considering significant time differences. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing the associated time difference and be flexible with their schedule as needed.

• The Director, Data Science will be responsible for development and implementation of innovative data-driven solutions that drive business growth.
• Be prepared to engage in hands-on work when necessary to support the team and further our data science initiatives.
• Collaborate with US collaborators to find opportunities where data science can drive business value.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science and find opportunities to demonstrate these advancements to enhance our products and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of data-driven solutions.
• Act as a key liaison between the US commercial team and the India-based data science team.
• Design, build, and deploy deep learning models using various programming languages such as Spark, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
• Stay abreast of state-of-the-art language models and other innovative trends in data science and leverage these insights to inform our strategies.
• Bring a “can-do” attitude and teamwork, and inspire others on culture change.

Essential Requirements

• Education : Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
• Languages: Fluent English, other languages desirable
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, with 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Build and deploy scalable machine learning models using cloud-based services such as AWS and Azure
• Strong understanding of deep learning algorithms, statistics, and recommendation system. Comprehensive understanding of state-of-the-art language models.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Spark, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to effectively manage collaboration across time zones, particularly with US-based customers.

• Possessing excellent communication skills, particularly in translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical collaborators
