The Transformation, Governance & Assurance Lead will execute and iterate the Service Transformation Strategy, create and manage the resource plans, report progress to the Board through a transparent balanced scorecard, and lead assigned project staff, stakeholders and customers to plan and deliver the desired outputs, change and outcomes.
- Lead the Transformation, Governance & Assurance team comprised of Consultants, Civil Servants and Delivery Partners by establishing clear ways of working to enable efficient collaboration, and promoting a team culture that values diversity, excellence and partnership. This includes gathering industry expertise to inform decision making, distilling into concise plans and developing scope of works for relevant suppliers to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Build detailed delivery plans in partnership with our Service Provider ensuring delivery of each initiative is aligned to the integrated programme plan, including financial forecasts, resource requirements, and change impact assessments.
- You will lead assurance activities to build confidence in delivery performance, including development of the balance scorecard and project reporting that will be used to communicate progress to senior stakeholders.
- Develop stakeholder management and engagement strategy to successfully navigate complex stakeholder environment to ensure sponsorship, departmental support and SME resource for each initiative.
- Understand the bigger picture and collaborate with other workstream leads to advocate for the team, ensure plans lock into the wider team and Integrated programme plan, and dependencies, risks, issues and assumptions are identified, understood and escalated where necessary.
Required:
- It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of working within complex and large-scale transformation programmes.
- The ability to distil complex information or multiple ideas/methodologies into one clear direction for the team.
- Experience partnering with and managing external suppliers and consultants to deliver outcomes.
- A track record of successfully designing and implementing new or improved operating models within a service setting.
- Proven experience in influencing, changing and impacting critical decisions with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in engaging, motivating, and mentoring colleagues, acting as a role model to inspire and empower others.
- Shared Service, HR or Finance Service experience desirable.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Project or Programme Management qualification e.g. APMQ Practitioner, Prince2 Practitioner, MoR Practitioner, MSP Practitioner.
