An exciting Associate Director (Dry food) (x 1 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the growing healthcare consumer based in Bangkok. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a role for a marketer who is a leader in their field.

As an Associate Director of Commercial, you will be responsible for managing products and assortment as one business unit. You will develop strategies that align with company goals, ensuring that products being developed meet targeted margins. Your role will involve planning and producing effective programs to achieve sales and profit targets. You will also be tasked with reviewing promotion year plans, action plans for sales gap recovery, special events and activities. A significant part of your role will be to look for new ways to simplify the way all our Buying teams work today, transforming how we will work in the future.

  • Conduct and review yearly budgeting by Category and customer strategic planning including corporate positioning market and competitive analysis
  • Manage supplier negotiation to ensure products being developed meet targeted margin and priced
  • Plan and produce an effective program to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Review promotion year plan, Action plan for sales gap recovery, Special events and activities
  • Assortment review: New store, new product, renovation
  • Look for new ways to simplify the way all our Buying teams work today, and transform how we will work in the future
  • Build training and capability plans for our buyers and suppliers
  • Set the strategy for our Shared Services across the world
  • Manage the alignment of all change activities across the Product function

The ideal candidate for this Associate Director of Commercial role is someone who brings excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with a highly analytical mindset. You should have proven project management experience along with strong stakeholder management skills. Being an effective communicator is crucial in this role as you’ll be working closely with various teams and stakeholders. You should be organised, driven to succeed and have a customer-focused approach. A degree level or relevant commercial experience in a retail environment is required.
