LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Sr. Manager, Global Payroll for a profitable and stable client of ours to be responsible for oversight and governance of the payroll operations and functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments, procedures and governmental payroll rules and regulations.

  • Managing a large staff of payroll professional around the globe
  • Manages the processing of payroll for all locations and entities.
  • Lead any and all process improvement related activities.
  • Ensure that the department provides world class customer service through KPI monitoring.
  • Ensure that all payroll related controls are maintained and work with external auditors as required.
  • Understands and monitors all payrolls processing, including the GL closing process, special payments and deductions, including, but not limited to bonus, commission, stock, relocation, vacation, 401k, garnishments, taxes, locational requirements.
  • Assists payroll staff with exceptions, corrections, adjustments, and reconciliation of payroll data when necessary.
  • Oversees payroll reporting for the accounting department as well as audits and ad hoc reporting as requested.
  • Prepares and communicates holiday accrual and processing schedules.
  • Reviews all quarterly and annual reports related to payroll tax filing
  • Assists with compliance and coordination, preparation, and distribution of all W2s.
  • Assists in the implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of payroll system enhancements and conversions.
  • Oversees, manages and assists, the processing, reconciliation, and filing of all government tax reports for all payrolls processed based on federal and state requirements.
  • Assures that procedures are properly documented and communicated to internal stakeholders
  • Assures payroll systems and processes are updated to reflect relevant tax requirements for federal and state legislative requirements, as well as for benefits and taxes.
  • Prepares and monitors payroll department budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 8 or more years of relevant payroll experience
  • 3 years supervisory/leadership experience
  • Large multi-state and global payroll and shared services experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and fully integrated payroll and timekeeping solutions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Experience working with payroll of 8000 employees or greater, including unions
  • CPP preferred
