Circle K has an ambition to grow our business through making our customers’ lives a little bit easier every day. To achieve this, we partner closely with our operations and functional leadership teams to deliver a great customer experience in each store. The Head of Global HR Services reports to the SVP of GCN (ACT internal shared service organization, Global Capability Network). Circle K HR operates HR services from the main Hubs in Tempe (AZ, US), Laval (Montreal, CAN), Riga (LT, EUR) and India (Business Partner managed services).
- Supports the transformational work and transition to a Global HR tower within our GCN organization, which will consist of combination of internal Circle K resources and BPO partner.
- Understands the linkage between HR strategy and HR GCN goals and drives execution on the strategic objectives of the function through centralized processes and practices
- Responsible for leading and developing team by providing guidance and direction to global HR GCN team. Must be able to motivate, lead and coach others (both direct and indirect).
- Drives operational excellence and efficiency by iterating processes based on qualitative and quantitative feedback and insights; leverages and improves existing projects and programs
- Effectively uses technology (ServiceNow and Workday) to drive meaningful change through real time analytics & data monitoring to continuously improve employee experience
- Monitor and deliver on KPIs and SLAs through audits and quality reviews to hold partners accountable for delivering on metrics and service levels
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost-effective solutions
- Collaborates and maintains strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners to understand their HR needs and align HR operations to support the organization’s goals.
- Support delivering of corporate initiatives by ensuring capabilities are available within HR GCN to support roll out and ongoing support for new initiatives, working cross functionally with business stakeholders
- Member of GCN management team and actively work with best practice sharing across GCN Towers
- Ability to flex resources as needed to support company needs related to acquisition activity as well as ongoing business continuity.
- Aid in ensuring compliance with both internal and external policy and operational expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field
- 10+ years of running HR Service centers, experience in large, chain retail environment ideal
- Strong working knowledge of US benefits and leave of absence administration, together with in dept understanding of employee regulations across geographies
- Experience leading a large, global scale projects preferred
- Ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
- Experience to build, evolve and coach large diverse teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to effectively communicate strategies and initiatives to stakeholders across different BU’s.
- Cross-cultural competency and the ability to collaborate and communicate with teams from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to travel globally (approximately 25%)
- Knowledge of Workday HRIS, preferred.
