We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Shared Service Center IT to lead our software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of AS400 developers, overseeing the development, maintenance and enhancement of applications on the AS400 platform and collaborating with stakeholders to effectively meet business requirements.

Team Leadership:

• You will provide leadership, guidance and direction to our software development team.
• You will oversee the recruitment, training and performance evaluation of your team.
• You will also ensure a cooperative and supportive work environment to maximize team productivity and efficiency.

AS400 Application Development:

• You are responsible for the development, testing and implementation of AS400 applications and improvements.
• Furthermore, you will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze user needs, design solutions and ensure effective use of AS400 resources.
• Ensure the timely delivery of high quality AS400 solutions that meet business requirements.

Project management:

• Manage AS400 development projects, including planning, execution and monitoring.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets and quality standards are adhered to.
• Identify risks and issues and develop strategies to address them effectively.

Collaboration with stakeholders:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities.
• Communicate clearly and timely about project status, issues and performance to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiencies in collaboration with stakeholders.

• You have a completed HBO education in computer science, information technology or similar.
• Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• At least 7-8 years of demonstrable work experience in AS400 development and programming.
• Experience with Boomi and/or Node-red platforms is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

You also have the following technical expertise:

• Strong technical skills in AS400 development and programming.
• Proficiency in ILE/RPG programming language and you are familiar with CL programming.
• Experience with DB2/400 database management system.
• Knowledge of IBM iSeries hardware and operating system – is a must.
• Stay up to date on AS400 technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
