This is a full-time role for a Group Deputy Director of People. The Group Deputy Director of People will be responsible for leading the College’s HR provision and strategy, ensuring effective delivery of HR services throughout the College. The position works across our bases at Medway, Maidstone, and the Royal School of Military Engineering.
You’ll deputise for the Group Director of People and support our People team to champion high-quality proactive service to the Group. You’ll focus on supporting managers, departments and staff to achieve outcomes based on providing a quality service to students in line with our vision, values and strategic objectives.
You’ll lead on shared service provision of the people service for MKC Training – our training and development company and a key member of our group.
- Holds a relevant Level 7 CIPD qualification and MCIPD status.
- Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, project management, absence and performance management and HR Information Systems.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
- Ability to deal with complex and sensitive cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
