As a member of a three-person board of directors that works in partnership, your core task within the framework of a matrix organization is particularly in Responsible management of approximately 90 employees in the cross-sectional functions of human resources management, procurement, accounting, operational IT, process management, marketing as well as law and insurance. One of your main priorities – based on the group’s strategy – is to successfully establish and “live” the matrix and, as a result, the shared services concept in the organization structurally, procedurally and culturally.
- the strategic and operational management and control of the human resources department and thus its positioning as a modern and innovative HR partner
- the establishment of a duisport academy in which both employees of the duisport group and those of over 200 other companies based in the port can receive systematic further training
- to develop the purchasing organization away from operational procurement towards a strategic innovation driver and thus position it as a solution provider
- to make day-to-day IT processes reliable, timely and, above all, secure and resilient
- the management of an effective, efficient and timely accounting system, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Responsibility for the legal department and all legal and insurance matters
- As a qualified economist (f/m/d) or lawyer (f/m/d), you now have overall commercial responsibility for a modern, publicly managed investment company or in the first line of a private sector company, for example in the logistics sector or from a shared company
- You have exposed management experience for at least a double-digit number of employees in departmental responsibility as well as a good instinct for all human resources issues, including dealing with employee representatives.
- You can provide strategic impulses, convert them into manageable concepts and bring them into concrete implementation.
- You have already achieved success in designing complex transformation processes, which can be demonstrated positively both in the figures and in the working atmosphere.
- You have an affinity for the operations and market side, live a service mentality and are as familiar as possible with public decision-makers on the shareholder or customer side, including the necessary political sensitivity.
- As a winning overall personality with clear leadership aspirations and appropriate experience, you combine strategic and conceptual strengths with creative foresight and entrepreneurial thinking.
- You have the power of initiative and commitment as well as a keen sense of opportunities and risks. Empathy, natural authority, persuasiveness and the ability to work in a team result in a positive human charisma that is effective at all personal interfaces.
