Oversees the daily operation of the business department and the client’s financial needs. This position assures compliance with all OAC policies and procedures, state, federal, Licensing and Certification Regulations.

  • Process bi-weekly payroll and related reports for all employees.
  • Process new resident admissions.
  • Ensure billing of Medicaid and Resident Liability payments.
  • Interacts with Accounting Department at Central Support Office.
  • Maintain Resident Trust and Petty cash bank accounts including weekly check processing and monthly account reconciliation.
  • Analyze month end reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statement as required.
  • Oversee account analysis, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables.
  • Supervise Administrative staff as required.
  • Oversee, research, establish, and maintain business contracts and leases.
  • Review budget on a monthly basis, and assist in annual budget process.
  • Train staff on budget issues and proper spending procedures.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the operational budget.
  • Perform random site audits of personal resident funds.
  • Maintain and oversee Capital Budget.
  • Maintain fixed assets record and inventory.
  • Process annual Representative Payee reports for all clients.
  • Performs all other duties as directed by Executive Director.

EDUCATION

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent (OR) five years experience as a full charge bookkeeper in a medical or similarly funded facility.
  • A minimum of two years experience in accounting or related field, supervisory experience preferred; must possess organizational skills, communication skills, and knowledge of computer based accounting systems and Excel software usage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; organizational skills; good moral character, professional appearance and an openness to learn and change.
  • Valid driver’s license.
