As the RTR manager, you will be fully responsible for overseeing RTR team in delivering all aspects of RTR related deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage the end-to-end Record-To-Report process, including but not limited to, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting (US GAAP), and analysis of financial reporting.
- Supervise and control accounting/reporting systems i.e. design, maintain, control accounting and reporting templates, ledgers, systems and processes flow to maintain reporting integrity and accuracy. This requires such tasks as creating and/or maintaining complex spreadsheet applications, reviewing system outputs, reconciling reports, and any other tasks necessary to ensure a proper accounting is made for all transactions.
- Lead and mentor a team of RTR professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage and coach team to perform RTR function efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Manage team to prepare and review the monthly financial statements of the various Amway entities in APAC markets to the senior management for strategic decision making, ensure conformity with US GAAP applied on a consistent basis across the entities and enterprise.
- Prepare or review quarterly and annual audit package for the Amway entities, which include financial statements and footnote disclosure information, ensuring conformity with US GAAP applied on a consistent basis.
- Resolve issues pertaining to US GAAP reporting in a timely manner. This type of work is highly technical, requiring a high-level understanding of accounting principles and techniques, the legal entity’s accounting systems with good judgment and well- developed analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred.
- At least ten (10) years of progressive experience, performing a Senior Manager role in an accounting and audit function, preferably shared service environment is required. Manufacturing background a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, RTR processes, and best practices with ability to perform complex or highly technical accounting tasks.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Hyperion, and Microsoft applications.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
