We have partnered with an innovative automotive company that has committed to establishing a Global Business Services (GBS) organization at the Group level as part of their new strategic operating model.
The goal of the GBS organization is to leverage (client’s) scale and capabilities to deliver efficient and effective business services across their businesses and the relevant legal entities.
Initially the scope of the GBS will cover SG&A enabling functions, including but not limited to Finance & Accounting, Sales Administration, IT, HR, Supply Chain and Procurement services. As the organization and its capabilities mature, the GBS scope will include additional support processes that will be defined and rolled-out as part of the overall strategic operating model.
- Prepare a short-, mid-, and long-term roadmap and business case for a GBS in the company
- Identify lead processes within the target functions that will ‘’validate the concept” and deliver quick (service level and/or cost) benefits
- Prepare a project plan for these lead processes including case for change, change management, communication, staffing, investments, timeline etc.
- Hire, coach and develop appropriate team to execute on GBS strategy
- Launch the GBS organization within the company and drive to success
- Establish the base platform for the GBS to succeed and gradually expand scope to deliver on its charter as the GBS concept matures
- Drive the global change program to develop a high performing team and transform the culture to be focused on quality and continuous improvement
- Be accountable for a high performing relationship with supplier(s) and evolving the relationship to a strategic partnership
Knowledge and Critical Experiences:
- University Degree – Masters Preferred
- 10+ years working experience, ideally with prior experience of working in a shared services environment
- Process & Business acumen for the benefit of simplifying complexity and streamlining administrative processes
- Transformational skills including demonstrated ability to improve processes and change ways of working, attitudes and behaviors
- A passion for continuous improvement
- Strong networking and influencing skills, both at a senior executive and operational level
- A proven leader with advanced people management and development skills
- Familiar and comfortable working in large, international, matrixed environment
- Prior experience setting up a new organization (including strategy, team, budget etc.)
