A well known multinational seeks a Finance Transition Lead 12 month FTC to support the establishment of a Capability Centre in India, as part of a global business transformation. The Capability Centre is a new initiative to establish a shared service centre in India that will provide efficient and effective support to global operations.
Transition Planning
- Plan the transition in detail (planning of Knowledge Capture, Knowledge Transfer, and Ramp-up) in conjunction with the Project Manager, Local & HSCC Finance Managers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document and execute comprehensive transition requirements
- Manage logistics for the transition, including identifying SME involvement / travel requirements, scheduling meetings, coordinating resources, and facilitating communications
Transition Execution
- Manage the execution of the transition plan for selected waves and process areas, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
- Monitor and reports transition progress to key stakeholders, identifying and addressing potential delays
- Act as the first point of contact for transitioning team members, resolving issues and providing timely solutions
- Conduct quality reviews of knowledge capture, knowledge transfer, and training materials
- Conduct operational readiness reviews prior to go-live
- Reporting and Communication
- Report on any delays or challenges in the transition process, providing insights and recommendations for mitigation
- Provide regular updates on the transition plan to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organisational goals
- Offer feedback on transition status for stage gate and go/no go decisions, contributing to informed decision-making
- Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to align transition activities with overall project goals and objectives
- Given the fast past and dynamic nature of the project, other tasks that may be assigned as appropriate
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 7+ years of post qualification experience
- 3+ years experience of leading transitions of Finance operations to Shared Service Centres
- 4+ years experience of working in Finance operations
- Strong academic record with degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery (certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be advantageous)
- Experience with end to end Finance processes
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Finance-related technologies (Oracle would be desirable)
- Experience with managing and collaborating with cross functional and diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Experience in a global organisation working across timezones and cultures
