The Finance Director – Account Receivable will be a critical member of PerkinElmer’s Finance team and will be responsible for North America and Europe’s cash collection process. The role will work closely with senior finance and business leaders across PerkinElmer.
- Lead a team of 20+ accounts receivable and credit analysts.
- Support the escalation of missed payments and lead cross-functional process improvements to ensure better cash collections.
- Foster improvements in financial processes and IT systems to eliminate non-value add work.
- Use data and metrics to better drive team performance and provide coaching/mentoring as needed.
- Lead operational reviews of past due balances and define action items to ensure successful resolution on each item.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or business management
- 5+ years’ experience working in an accounting, billing, or accounts receivable department
- Fluent in English (at least CEFR C1 level)
- Previous management experience in a shared service center
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial, accounting, and bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and forecasting
- Leadership, management, and team-building skills
- Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
- Strong ability to navigate through ambiguity, show initiative, and confidently manage conflict and difficult conversations especially during times of change.
- Strategic thinker. Strong bias for action while considering potential outcomes from multiple angles. Always driving towards simplification and transparency.
- Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage/complete multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.
