Our Enterprise Business Services (EBS) Business Organisation is undergoing a transformation re-establishing itself as a quality provider of efficient and effective services to the whole of National Grid. EBS is transforming several end-to-end processes to deliver a quality service to its internal users (i.e., BUs) and external customers and suppliers globally.
As an Enterprise Business Services Strategy Manager, you’ll support the development and execution of the EBS strategy for National Grid, including playing a leading role in defining our delivery model strategy. This role sits within the Global Capabilities Business Team that leads on topics that cut across all service lines in EBS such as strategy, service excellence, and controls.
- Setting the EBS strategy, ambition, and roadmap for National Grid Group working closely with the EBS leadership team
- Identifying new scope of work to move into EBS and see it through to transition, in close partnership with function and business unit leaders and enterprise process owners
- Defining the desired EBS delivery model (sourcing, location, and people strategy) considering costs, scale, access to talent and capabilities, co-location needs, etc. and conducting due diligence
- Create executive-ready materials that tell the story of progress against the strategy
- Influence and partner with senior stakeholders across the organization in support of the EBS strategy
- Ideally, you’ll have a strategy, transformation, or consulting background, preferably from within in a shared services environment in a global or multinational organisation
- A solid understanding of the workings of a shared services organization, best practices, and centralized structures and capabilities that can enable service lines to execute on the strategy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically, understand business principles, market dynamics, industry trends and business context, and translate complex data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- A commercial mindset and proficiency in financial analysis, including modelling, forecasting, and budgeting
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences and drive engagement
- Ability to adapt to change, navigate ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
