The Programme Director will be a key role responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and management of Flutter programmes. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, ensure programmatic excellence and strong governance, and provide leadership to a diverse programme team.

This role will initially lead on the Programme to establish a new Shared Service Capability Centre before transitioning to other critical strategic initiatives. As programme lead, you will be at the forefront of guiding and overseeing every facet of this strategic undertaking, ensuring its seamless execution and alignment with our organizational objectives.

  • Provide overall direction and leadership for world-class delivery and implementation of multiple programmes, that align with the corporate strategic direction.
  • Leads a team of project managers, workstream leads and business analysts; supporting their work and development.
  • Strategically define and execute end-to-end integrated programme plans, including dependencies, risks and identifying a critical path
  • Design, implement, and execute appropriate programme governance, including reporting, using appropriate programme management tools.
  • Role model excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; across the business and externally (where needed).
  • Manage program budgets, resource allocation, and financial sustainability.
  • Ensuring commitments to stakeholders are met and any alterations to expectations are fully documented, communicated and mitigated.
  • Identifies and solves issues, bringing the right people together to drive for a solution.,.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and KPIs/benefits, making data-driven recommendations to ensure they are achieved.
  • Ensure strong change management principles are applied, created a great experience for those impacted by the programme.
  • Strong track-record of owning and delivering complex programmes.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build trust and buy in across a wide audience at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong programme management knowledge in an Agile and/or waterfall environment.
  • Ability to form and lead effective delivery teams from multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
  • Effective, adaptable, and versatile. Capable of reacting to unanticipated occurrences, while maintaining utmost professionalism.
  • Comfortable working with a certain degree of ambiguity with ability to distil complex problems into simple solutions and illicit support and engagement to deliver.

Project Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in planning, managing, and delivering large, complex programmes involving technology, people and process change.
  • Experience in delivering Organisational and Operational Transformational change, particularly for HR, Finance and Procurement operations.
  • Delivery experience in setting up an operation of shared services capabilities for global companies a plus
  • Experience in 3rd party supplier management.
  • Experience in Operating Model definition and implementation.
