The Cost Controller will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of all manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the manufacturing processes are efficient and cost-effective while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with Executive leadership within Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, etc. to analyze costs, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing expenses.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and expenses to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports detailing production costs, labor expenses, material usage, and overhead costs.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management to facilitate decision-making and cost control strategies.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop manufacturing budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and forecasted figures.
- Identify deviations and work with stakeholders to address discrepancies and mitigate risks.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary.
- Aid in establishing a General Accounting Shared Services team as a long-term initiative
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Food & Beverage experience highly desired
- Shared services experience is a plus!
- 10+ years of experience in Accounting
- 3+ years minimum of Cost Accounting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP systems experience preferred – JD Edwards, SAP, Concur, etc.
