The Head of HR Operations and Payroll is a key role on the Colleague Experience team. This newly created role will be responsible for global HR Operations and Payroll, reporting to the Vice President, HRBP and Colleague Experience, with 2 direct reports (Director of ZCS and Director of Global Payroll) and a team of 16.

  • Lead team ensuring our approach to HR Operations and Payroll reflects One Zoetis with a focus on best practice sharing, process improvement and influencing across HR matrix teams. Identify and drive process improvements with Zoetis Colleague Services (ZCS) and payroll, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR services and payroll processing from hire to retire lifecycle
  • In partnership with HR technology team, provide a point of view on technology improvements that support our global payroll approach, and provide requirements for needed improvements
  • Working close with team to deliver on process improvement, leading any stakeholder and change management needed
  • Connect the dots between Zoetis priorities and evolving HR trends within and outside Zoetis, including the emerging landscape around automation and AI in HR shared services and payroll
  • Update and create new metrics for ZCS and global payroll. Proactively monitor and analyze trends, issues and opportunities, proactively recommending solutions
  • Collaborate across Zoetis to understand opportunities to move activities to ZCS for a positive colleague experience
  • Ensure proper documentation and support compliance across all regions
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, with a focus on a vendor partnership model
  • 15+ years of experience in HR operations, shared services, and payroll management, with a background leading within a complex, multinational corporation
  • Proven leadership of global team, and successful collaboration across matrix teams
  • Experience managing complex multinational payroll vendor is preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR technology (Workday preferred),
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with HR, Finance and other teams and influence outcomes with stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR operations, payroll, and HR technology data and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
