We are seeking an experienced and progressive leader to join our team as the Head of Unity Business Services (HR recruitment, Finance & Procurement) Data & Reporting Operations; responsible for leading the Unity team Shared Services provision cross government department.
- Collaborate with the Cabinet Office, ensuring alignment with wider UBS strategy and convergence requirements.
- Confidently establish collaborations within HMRC, across the Civil Service and with external suppliers and partners leading strategic and technical level conversations.
- Comfortable working with and challenging senior leaders where necessary. Championing data security across HMRC Unity Business Service, ensuring that we remain GDPR compliant.
- With a passion for innovation, being able to find new opportunities, and use data and analytics to create effective consensus and appetite for change and improvement.
- As part of the wider HMRC Unity Business Services Leadership Team you will actively role model HMRC’s values and commitments, support colleagues to develop their careers and champion wellbeing.
Essential Criteria
- Strong experience of data and reporting to allow you to engage on both a technical and strategic level with your team and a broad range of customers.
- Demonstrated experience in agreeing and using critical metrics and SLAs to support business to drive performance improvements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- A proven track record to drive business decisions through the provision of high-quality data and effective data visualisation.
- Proven track record of working with and influencing senior colleagues and team members.
- Good understanding of shared services technologies, systems and best practice – including experience of Finance / HR systems
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of data and reporting in shared services across finance and HR
