Reporting to the Group Treasurer, the role plays a pivotal role in driving the execution of treasury transformation initiatives including centralisation and supporting the Group Treasurer on strategic direction for Treasury.
Strategic Projects & Treasury Transformation Management
- Develop and continuously evolve a comprehensive treasury transformation roadmap aligned with the organisation’s long-term strategic objectives, leveraging input and insights from the Group Treasurer, Deputy Group Treasurer and the wider treasury team, ensuring alignment with Group Finance strategic projects processes.
- Champion a culture of change management, ensuring alignment with organisational culture and values throughout the transformation journey.
- Drive transformation initiatives with the design, implementation and optimisation of treasury processes, systems and controls, streamlining manual processes, enhancing data analytics capabilities, and improving decision-making capabilities.
- Define clear goals, milestones and performance metrics to track progress and measure the success of treasury transformation initiatives.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in treasury management to help drive continuous improvement and innovation across the treasury function.
Transformation – Financial Risk Management
- Assist the Group Treasurer and Deputy Group Treasurer in developing and implementing efficient risk management frameworks to identify, assess and mitigate financial risks across the group, assisting the Deputy Group Treasurer with design & implementation of hedging strategies and assessment of relevant market data.
Transformation – Liquidity and Cash Management
- Working with the Treasury Controllership pillar, optimise and strategically align cash forecasting processes and liquidity management strategies to ensure sufficient working capital for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Collaborate with the wider treasury team and financial institutions to explore innovative cash management solutions as appropriate.
Transformation – Treasury Operations
- In collaboration with the Group Treasury Systems team, help drive the development and implementation of innovative approaches to optimise treasury operations, focusing on enhancing efficiency, effectiveness & operational resilience in cash management, liquidity planning and risk mitigation, ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day operations.
Transformation – Centralisation and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between the treasury function and other business units, facilitating collaboration and alignment on integration and centralisation, strategic initiatives and business priorities.
- Lead the treasury transformation in respect of the group’s ambitions to create an offshore finance shared services organisation, ensuring that appropriate treasury personnel are in place in the offshore location.
- Partner with finance, accounting, risk management and corporate development teams to integrate treasury considerations into overall business planning, budgeting and decision-making processes.
- Partner with the group treasurer to foster a culture of collaboration, transparency and shared accountability across the organisation, driving collective ownership of treasury-related goals and outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement And Relationship Management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business divisions, finance, accounting, tax, legal, and business units to align treasury strategies with broader organisational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Group Treasurer and senior management, offering proactive assistance and strategic recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders as appropriate.
Transformation – Talent Development
- Build and maintain a structured programme to provide junior team members with guidance and mentorship from the senior treasury team, helping to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous learning, including development through professional exams.
- Assist in the recruitment, development and retention of talent, ensuring that the treasury function has the necessary skills and capabilities.
- Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion are promoted within the treasury team, driving a culture of respect, empowerment, and accountability.

Technical Experience
- Extensive senior level experience in a similar role(s), with at least 8 yrs experience in multi-national / listed / complex organisations and Big Four consultancy.
- Significant treasury transformation experience
- Solid understanding of key controls in a treasury environment (SOX or equivalent) and in developing/implementing reporting & operating process improvements
- Assertive and confident, able to operate credibly with all senior stakeholders
- Experience of providing insightful Financial/Treasury MI to senior internal stakeholders
- Strong Treasury Systems experience
