As our Senior Manager for Common Systems IT at GlobalConnect, you will take charge of a skilled team of approximately 10-15 people located in both Sweden and Norway, playing a crucial role in managing our application portfolio across its entire lifecycle.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve system ownership, incident handling, and strategic planning down to the infrastructure level. This role needs a leader who can leverage the team’s expertise to achieve effective results, ensuring our technology stack effectively supports the business’s strategic goals.
You will join our mission to create One IT through modern and global platforms, to support GlobalConnects goal of achieving scalability. Your contribution will be essential to your department’s progress, being the main IT point of contact for all stakeholders and interested parties’ company-wide. This role positions you at the heart of our transformation efforts, empowering you to shape and influence our IT strategy and execution, as part of the extended management team.
Located in Stockholm, Uppsala, or Oslo, this role involves significant participation within the broader leadership circle of Group IT, you will report to our Head of Enterprise IT. You’ll actively participate in and contribute to cross-functional collaboration, working to shape our IT strategy across the Nordics. Travel might be required up to once per month.
A typical day in this role involves dynamic tasks such as developing a decommissioning roadmap, liaising with stakeholders across various departments, and driving the transformation of our IT landscape to achieve optimal performance. Your contributions will be assessed based on defined indicators, with a focus on system decommissions rates, security compliance levels, and the successful delivery of key projects such as the Global GIS solution.

- Previous experience of managing a team within IT group functions.
- A substantial technical background with experience developing shared services and understanding the application layer, including GIS applications.
- Previous experience working with ITIL, managing budgets and working with strategy and roadmapping.
- Ability and experience in communication around IT functions, both with technical experts and with senior management.
- Proficiency in English with a deep understanding of Scandinavian work culture. Swedish or Norwegian language is beneficial.
