Our client is an innovative pharmaceutical business with a global presence. We are assisting them in the search for a highly skilled and experienced Regional Finance Head. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial strategy and ensuring the overall financial health of the company’s regional operations.

Business Partnering, Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Partner closely with the Regional GM in developing and implementing effective financial strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the region.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering guidance on investment opportunities, cost optimization, and revenue generation.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for the region, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and highlight areas of improvement or concern.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, KPIs, and provide regular reports to senior management.

Accounting and Financial Operations:

  • Oversee the accounting function, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and standards.
  • Manage the shared service team responsible for transactional finance activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Monitor financial operations, streamline processes, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.

Risk Management, Internal Control, and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks within the region.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements.

Tax Management:

  • Oversee regional tax planning and compliance, working closely with tax advisors and authorities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and adherence to tax regulations.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 10+ finance professionals based in different market, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance on financial matters, ensure professional development, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and ensure financial alignment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within the pharmaceutical/ medical devices industry or a similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Deep understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experiences in managing a Shared Services team is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent or native in English
