The Purpose of this Role:
The purpose of this role to establish a Quality Management System and quantitatively manage quality for HW Implementation organization in Health Care Operations. The Director Quality will be responsible for initiating, planning and leading testing activities across FHO Implementations team. Your role will be that of a player-coach helping serve as a test lead working directly on parts of the program and helping define and deliver testing improvement strategies.
The leader in this space must possess a strong ability to multi-task while guiding and directing testing efforts. The candidate must possess a strong QA background with a knowledge of the testing life cycle and different aspects of QA preferably in Health & Welfare or Healthcare industries.
The Value You Deliver:
Health Care Operations team is undergoing significant change with core platform migrations along with significant change to peripherals. Hence, this role would be instrumental in bringing thought leadership & focus towards driving improvement to quality benchmarks and running improvement charters based on quantitative analysis. This role would also focus on maturing quality competencies and driving and establishing the culture of quality.
- Define and set-up a quality management system using industry methods/framework.
- Responsible for developing and refinement of Test strategy and process controls including definition, planning and execution of testing efforts.
- Designs, implements, and documents procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection in a highly regulatory domain
- Responsible for Defect Management with tracking and managing defects including performing root cause analysis and driving quality improvements.
- Responsible for generating test reports and metrics to provide insights to the quality of the project
- Ensures that teams are trained in Quality Assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Provides high-level direction for manual and automated test strategy across multiple products in an Agile environment.
- Drives the quality vision for the Health Care operations group and ensure compliance
- Responsible for developing quality strategies with understanding of global requirements.
- Review deliverables/activities as identified in the test plans for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance. Ensure adequate test coverage for every release.
- Contribute to both manual and automated testing effort, including strategically incorporating automated testing into the SDLC.
- Translate feature requirements into testable user stories.
- Assess features to identify testing technical challenges, priorities, and risks.
- Develop traceability from requirements to defects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively to drive change.
- Keep senior leadership and teams informed on quality performance.

- This role would be responsible for driving Quality improvements for projects done by dual shore squads using Agile practices and would requires significant thought leadership and work with senior global stakeholders to drive improvement plans.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in any function.
- Overall 15+ years of experience including Operations, IT or ERP implementation experience. A combination of Operations & IT / Implementation is ideal.
- 8+ years of dedicated quality assurance (software engineering practice) experience.
- Understanding of agile development methodology, in theory, and practice.
- Prior background in US Health & Welfare or Benefits Administration is preferable.
- Prior background in process design, six sigma, CMMi and TMMi is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work with and influence senior global stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead change management globally across shores
- Experienced with industry standards (ISTQB) processes, methodologies, techniques and best practices preferably ISTQB certified.
- Experience with automated UI testing technologies (Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, etc.)
