Cabot are now recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Director to join our global, people-first, financial services business.
- Leading the Group Infrastructure teams.
- Collaborating with Group CIO, VP GISS, all Business leaders, BU CIO’s, EA to plan and transform mainly BU specific functions into shared services and COE’s over time
- Collaborating with Encore InfoSec to deliver, on NIST and ISO27001 programmes as well as striving to keep the business safe and within risk tolerance
- Leading the technical implementation of infrastructure services, including monitoring, capacity and cost management
- Management of key IT SOX controls, ensuring governance and security of key business processes
- Managing the cost effectiveness and prioritisation of the department, enabling the business divisions to understand IT cost drivers and to influence them appropriately.
- Managing and deliver disaster recovery planning and testing for all group services
- Implementing appropriate governance, standards, controls, processes, and a metrics-based performance management regime.
- Delivering on the business availability targets for all BC1 systems on an ongoing basis.
- Working with the wider senior team to ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Providing leadership cover, supporting IT management escalation for critical issues both in and out of hours.
- Extensive background in leading IT products/bespoke software delivery
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks
- Strategic planning including Service and Infrastructure transformation
- Client delivery environment experience, information security, BCP, DR awareness and experience of championing this across the business
- Critical: Able to operate effectively in a matrix management structure and is comfortable being accountable for services they may not directly own
- Ability to work within a complex setting, both anticipating and responding to change, resilient and able to cope effectively with pressure whilst responding positively to change, credible and persuasive at all levels. Can adopt a hands-on style.
- Ideally, a degree level qualification in directly related field
- Ability to innovate and to challenge entrenched thinking coupled with sensitivity to the current culture of teams
