The VP of Digital Business Architecture will be responsible for developing the strategy and leading the execution of digital capabilities for our brokerage and MGU (Managing General Underwriter) business operations.
- Develop Enterprise strategy, structure, budget, and implementation plan for MRSG N.A. which will standardize software, systems and business processes across all business functions
- Be accountable for the overall business architecture, operational processes, platforms and products that enable the business strategy
- Assess, validate, and design digital products, services, and solutions. Manage the intake and prioritization of enhancements to existing digital solutions while designing the digital roadmap of the future
- Work closely with business and technical executives to understand and enhance the company’s operating model and commercial objectives and how they translate into efficient and standardized business processes and platforms
- Be accountable for defining the platform and business capabilities vision and strategy, communicating to the business and aligning the roadmap with IT application requirements
- Ensure end-to-end integrity of the business capability using deep subject matter expertise and past experience to ensure it is designed and developed to meet our business objectives
- Lead and perform hands on activities to support multiple transformational initiatives
- Executive-level business acumen in business operations, industry practices and emerging trends
- 15+ years of business/technology architecture and operations management experience
- This role will be aligned with all business units and domains, so deep knowledge of insurance (e.g. Sales, Brokerage, Underwriting, Claim, Billing) functions is necessary
- Prior successes in delivering business and IT transformation and process improvement projects in a commercial specialty insurance market
- Experience with commercial-off-the-shelf or SaaS policy administration systems (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco), agency management systems (e.g. Applied Systems, Vertafore), document production or rating engine software is strongly preferred
- Strong technical and management ability to lead a delivery team and to facilitate projects and automation across the organization utilizing industry best practices.
- Proven track record of leading target operating model initiatives with substantial positive business results
- Strong relationship management skills; this person will work across a large group of stakeholders, including involvement with some outside partners, demanding strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence management and written/oral communication skills
- Strong influencer with an ability to translate technical concepts in a manner that is easily understood by the business
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business degree with a strong technical background
