The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) invites qualified candidates to submit resumes for the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO). Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, the CIO position is a full-time, exempt role with a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities of this position include overseeing the UAS IT department, providing strategic planning, and facilitating communication between students, faculty, staff and stakeholders.
As a senior leader at UAS, the CIO will be responsible for providing leadership and vision for the strategic planning, operation, integration, and implementation of information systems and services across a vibrant and diverse university. The CIO will also collaborate with the University of Alaska Chief IT Officer (CITO) within a shared services framework for certain identified services. The successful candidate will be expected to build out a new organizational structure and foster a nimble, responsive team.

Requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field) and 7 years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
