As the Head of HR Shared Services – North America, you will lead the digital transformation and centralization of HR activities into a service center. Your role is crucial in delivering efficient and customer-focused HR services to employees, managers, and the broader HR team. You will streamline HR operations, increase efficiency, and enhance the employee experience through automation, digitalization, and process simplification.
- Centralize specific HR functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, employee data management, and routine HR inquiries
- Implement and optimize HR service delivery, increase efficiency through standardization of processes, and improve the employee experience
- Lead, coach, develop and motivate employees in the delivery of major initiatives
- Develop HRIS strategy focusing on integration, automation, and digital transformation through collaboration with IT and other clusters
- Provide easy access to HR services for employees through streamlined processes and automation.
- Ensure HR compliance with employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Manage SOX controls, audits, and compliance related to HR.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to address complex HR issues and enhance the employee experience
- Work with executives, vendors, and senior management teams across organizations to meet objectives while maintaining effective relationships.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across HR functions.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess HR Shared Services effectiveness.
- Prepare regular reports and analysis for senior leadership.
- Ensure data integrity across all platforms.
- Supervise 5 direct reports and 11 employees.
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership and digital transformation.
- Experience leading complex projects and meeting objectives on large-scale (divisional and/or organizational) transformational initiatives with emphasis on project management, organizational strategic direction, risk management and vendor management
- Familiarity with HR regulations and legislation, including knowledge of provincial, state, and federal laws governing human resources, as well as privacy principles and practices.
- Proficiency in utilizing a variety of HR systems, including but not limited to SuccessFactors, SAP HR, Dayforce, PowerBI, and UKG-Kronos, for tasks such as payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee data management. Additionally, expertise in data analytics to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.
- Experience managing process and systems controls. Experience supporting requests from internal and external audit teams
- Experience with change management focusing on process change
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and the capacity to prioritize effectively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese is considered an asset, facilitating effective communication and collaboration in multinational or culturally diverse environments.
- Up to 30% local and international travel may be required.
