The Vice President of FP&A will lead the corporate financial planning & analysis (FP&A) function within the company and be responsible for corporate-level budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis, as well as managing shared services FP&A. Responsible for partnering with executive leadership throughout the company to provide financial leadership and support.

  • Direct and coordinate the corporate-level budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis processes for the organization, as well as managing shared services FP&A.
  • Strong data collecting skills including SQL and SAS
  • Experience in building drivers based financial models
  • Manage reporting of monthly flash and actual results.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for monthly management reviews and other meetings with executive management.
  • Conduct analysis of historical financial results, explain variances and identify performance drivers.
  • Lead FP&A special projects and initiatives throughout the company.
  • Manage process to track merger-related synergies and integration costs.
  • Support merger-related integration and reorganizational initiatives.
  • Provide leadership of FP&A function for shared services organizations, including IT, Real Estate, Procurement, Human Resources, Sales, Finance, and Legal.
  • Serve as business partner for shared services executive leadership and provide financial support.
  • Manage capital planning process and oversee all research, analysis, and development of business cases and financial models used to make recommendations regarding the company’s expenditures.
  • Manage the FP&A team, consisting of a manager and analysts in two or more locations.
  • Responsible for respective department’s overall performance and for motivating team to exceed department goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge, understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Participation in Company Programs must meet minimum performance standards.
  • Accountable for all decisions, actions, and directives with respect to job responsibilities.
  • Responsible for progressive discipline with regards to attendance, performance and all aspects of company policy up to and including termination.
  • Follow up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years progressive FP&A experience in a large corporate environment required.
  • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and reporting process in a large corporate environment required.
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing staff required.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles required.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Experience with financial systems required; SAP experience a large plus.
  • Ability to work with senior management in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight.
  • Must be creative and forward-thinking with high ethical standards.
  • Must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and a strong operational focus.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work within and meet established deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
