We are on the lookout for an accomplished leader to step into the position of Director, Cloud Infrastructure and Systems Engineering at Dayforce. In this role, you’ll take the reins in steering the development, execution, and oversight of Dayforce’s Corporate IT cloud and platform services.

Situated within the Information Technology organization, the Director of Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering is to lead and develop an IT infrastructure team and accelerate the pace of delivery on a broad scale. As an expert and thought leader in cloud and platform engineering, you’ll be responsible for crafting and implementing secure, high-performing, and scalable platform solutions tailored to meet the dynamic demands of our business landscape.

In addition to driving innovation and accelerating delivery, you’ll play a pivotal role in fortifying Dayforce’s technological backbone by ensuring resilience and recovery best practices within the realm of cloud infrastructure and systems engineering. As the Director, you’ll embed robust mechanisms for business continuity, developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that safeguard against disruptions. You will be instrumental in crafting resilient architectures, establishing failover procedures, and orchestrating recovery plans, ensuring Dayforce Corporate IT systems are resilient and responsive.

Integral to the IT management team, your collaborative efforts will align with an overarching enterprise vision for platform services, specifically targeting Dayforce’s internal business functions. Your primary focus will be on ushering in modern platform capabilities at the enterprise level. Collaborating closely with peers, you’ll play a pivotal role in cultivating IT’s engineering talent, ensuring their growth, upskilling, and continuous technical evolution.

• Lead the development and execution of robust IT Resiliency and Recovery strategies to ensure continuous availability and reliability of critical systems and services.
• Assess and mitigate risks by designing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery plans and business continuity measures.
• Oversee the establishment and maintenance of resilient IT architectures, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance organizational resilience.
• Provide strategic guidance and direction to cross-functional teams in executing resiliency initiatives and responding effectively to disruptive events.
• Exercise influence and management over both direct and indirect staff, emphasizing adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards, deploying effective solution architectures, and integrating seamless patterns.
• Take charge of critical production-affecting issues, ensuring timely resolution and transparent communication with stakeholders to maintain a robust technological infrastructure.
• Bridge the gap between engineering efforts and overarching business goals, aligning objectives and deliverables with measurable business outcomes.
• Driving continuous quality improvement initiatives through the area.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 7+ years of IT leadership experience, influencing key stakeholders and working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in cloud computing technologies, with a primary focus on AWS and secondary expertise in Azure
• Familiarity with the VMware Suite, encompassing vSphere, VRNI, AVI, HyperConverged Infrastructure, vSAN, NSX, and more
• Experience implementing data protection products such as Commvault, Nutanix, along with robust strategies for data protection
• A proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive IT Resiliency and Recovery strategies
• Proficiency in risk assessment, disaster recovery planning, business continuity management, and the ability to lead teams in executing resilient IT architectures
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, demonstrated at an enterprise level
• Solid acumen in business relationship management and the ability to realize technology-related business benefits
• Strong negotiation, influence, and relationship management capabilities
• Comfortable collaborating with a globally dispersed team across different time zones, accommodating diverse work schedules
• Proven expertise in leading business resiliency, system recovery requirements, solution adoption, resiliency plans, and recovery test cycles
• Background in driving process improvement and operational efficiency projects, both in leadership and support roles
• Experience within a global shared services organization, adept at managing business integration, communication, and adoption.
