The Senior Director, Accounts Payable has responsibility for leading company-wide accounts payable functions, including the corporate office and shared service locations (domestic and international). The Senior Director participates as a key leader in additional centralization of accounts payable activities into shared services locations.
- Coordinate with the procurement department on electronic payment initiatives and expense reimbursement processes
- Coordinate with the information systems department on designing, building and testing system modifications or enhancements
- Oversee the processing and distribution of payments via paper checks
- Oversee vendor maintenance activities and 1099 preparation and filings
- Oversee the company’s accounts payable policies and training efforts and ensure compliance with authorization policies
- Oversee the company’s accounts payable help desk function
- Coordinate with the treasury department on cash flow management
- Oversee the company’s post-payment audit processes and unclaimed property reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of total experience in accounts payable or other relevant finance functions. Experience in supervisory role and ability to lead special projects teams.
- Experience with mainframe systems and with Oracle a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, use personal computer and related software, and work independently.
- Solid analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, professional and effective presentation skills, and strong ability to prioritize efficiently.
- Knowledge of process improvement and quality skills, project management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
