The Head of Global Finance Services (GFS) is responsible for the overall execution of the finance services (activities & processes) executed and operated by SGBS on behalf of the regions / clusters / countries.
Core Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Responsible of overall / global Finance Service execution of SGBS
- Responsible and accountable for leading the functional GFS leads
- Ultimately responsible for service quality provided by SGBS
- Sponsor the design and implementation of overall finance transformation initiatives
- Accountable for SGBS Finance alignment with DBS overall strategic objectives
- Responsible and accountable for the right staffing of the GFS leads
- Establish and maintain quality standards for service delivery
- Define quality control measures and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance
- Align service delivery with overall business objectives
- Ensures adherence to yearly set budget by DBS leadership
General Managerial Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Monitors and reports consolidated overall Finance key operational KPIs on a periodic basis to relevant stakeholders
- Regularly communicate with regions / clusters to understand their needs and expectations
- Contributes to a working environment and culture which drives the desired mindset of all GFS leads
- Initiates and sponsors SGBS Finance change objectives
- Enforces world class trends, and best practices in Finance with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement
- Drives growth and ensures career paths for SGBS Finance organization
Self-Management Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Defines performance and service level goals at the start of the year in coordination with the Head of SGBS
- Point of escalation for functional GFS leads
- Point of escalation for cluster CFOs
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Program management certification preferred
- 12+ years of experience in a Finance leadership role with ability to manage senior stakeholder and employees in an international context
- Strong experience in the Shared Services / Service Delivery organizations
- Strong understanding of Finance Accounting, Controlling processes
- Experience with Finance / Accounting ERP systems
- Experience with program management
Technical Skills/Competencies
- Strategic Planning: Ability to conceptualize and implement strategic initiatives that align with the business’s objectives and goals
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting end-to-end processes as well as business & financial controlling
- Project/ program Management: Skills to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close the work of a team to achieve specific goals
- Change Management: Navigating and managing organizational change
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and manage potential risks in the business
- Understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Implementing, tracking, and analyzing KPIs to measure overall performance and progress
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with various senior (internal) stakeholders
- Language competencies: Fluent in English (business, negotiations, etc.)
