Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Vice President, Claims Programs & Shared Services that can do a 3-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills office.
Summary Statement
- Leads a discipline-diverse team to develop and execute programs aimed at improving claims outcomes, operational efficiency, and customer experience. Provides strategic direction for department’s operational functions and shared services. Plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing strategies to optimize claims management processes and enhance the shared services functions across the Claims organization. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and ensure the highest standards of quality throughout the department.
Essential Tasks/Major Duties
- Lead and direct staff in area of responsibility with an emphasis on talent management and succession planning in accordance with the company’s strategic direction.
- Develop and advance relationships with agency customers, policyholders, and internal business partners to provide differentiated agency and policyholder coordination services.
- Lead and inspire teams to implement strategies for process improvement, focusing on optimizing efficiency and reducing service delivery timelines for Claims fast track teams and intake/support unit.
- Direct vendor management and selection for all areas of the Claims organization, including evaluating and recommending technology and non-technology solutions to improve both the employee experience and service delivery to our customers.
- Engage with employees at all levels to communicate changes, gather feedback, and address concerns related to operational enhancements.
- Develop and implement service strategies that address customer needs.
- Monitor staff execution of service plans and business objectives related to engagements with our agents and policyholders including the development of key performance metrics.
- Creates innovative solutions for delivering data and analytics to agents and policyholders that demonstrate the value of insurance partnerships with Amerisure. These would include loss cost savings reports and other information at the policyholder and line of business level.
- Provide strategic direction for department operational functions and shared services including but not limited to Claims Analytics, Claims Systems, TPA Program Management, Vendor Management, and SIU Program Management.
- Implement proactive measures to mitigate risks of identified operational risks and vulnerabilities that could impede efficiency or ability to deliver high service to our agents, policyholders, injured workers, and claimants.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 10 years insurance industry claims experience, including five years in progressive leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
- Superior understanding and commitment to customer service and relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of business processes and change management principles.
- Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based upon detailed analysis of complex issues.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 40%.
