The Facilities Strategy and Transformation team is responsible for translating the Group’s strategic vision into actionable plans, including sourcing and alignment with sectors. This team works closely with senior stakeholders to drive the delivery of transformative initiatives aimed at optimising services. Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Facilities UK & RoW, the role will lead all aspects of strategic planning and transformation activities for Shared Services Facilities Management. The successful candidate will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across all levels to achieve the department’s objectives.

  • Confirm the Facilities Target Operating Model (TOM) as owned and published by the Group, review it against the Transformation TOM, and assess the current alignment
  • Create a detailed Gap Analysis comparing the current operating model with the TOM, documenting sector requirements, current capabilities, and the steps needed to bridge the gap to the TOM
  • Develop business cases to enhance the Facilities Capability demonstrating the value generated, incorporating all relevant data and translating it into documentation for senior review and approval
  • Manage the delivery of change from an FM perspective, ensuring all key stakeholders are engaged, deliverables are understood and met and any change is incorporated into the Integrated Business Plan
  • Work closely with the Procurement team and suppliers to ensure new contracts meet all requirements, manage risks effectively, and align financials with the strategic plan
  • Background within facilities and transformation with proven experience in the above listed duties
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex operating details into a clear strategic vision for senior leadership
  • Knowledge of and ideally experience in the Shared Services delivery model
  • Knowledge of the Defence industry and its operations would be advantageous
