The Senior Credit and Collections Manager will have shared responsibility for the collections and risk assessment of customers which comprise > $7B of sales across all CertainTeed business units.
This involves in-depth analysis of customer financial statements, collection activities, research and resolution of deductions, credits and unapplied payments, as well as the reconciliation of customers’ balances. This role will manage a team of specialists, analysts and managers, and will encompass a wide range of tasks and responsibilities to support the financial services needs of all the CertainTeed businesses. The incumbent will have authority to approve credit limits up to $1.5M.
The major challenge of this position will be to simultaneously satisfy the demands and requirements of individual business units and the Saint-Gobain North America Shared Service Center (SGNA SSC). The position will recommend and suggest the implementation of policies and procedures that govern the collection, risk assessment and various business activities of the CertainTeed & SGNA SCC organizations while capitalizing on operational synergies.
- 10+ years of credit, collections & deductions management experience with heavy account reconciliation, deduction resolution, and customer facing activities required
- 5+ years’ experience building and managing high performance credit and collections teams
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business is required, an MBA, CPA, or professional credit certification is preferred
- SAP experience is required; GetPaid experience is strongly preferred
- Extensive financial statement analysis experience and experience working with external legal counsel and credit bureau reporting
- Strong financial analysis skills and an understanding of finance, internal controls, bankruptcy knowledge, creditor rights, and A/R and related reserves accounting
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel; strong knowledge of MS Word and Powerpoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with additional emphasis on customer contact, with experience working with major accounts and Sr. Executives
