We are looking for an individual with leadership experience for the role of Acting Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable for a 22-month contract. Leading a team of 11 administrative managers and analysts, you will oversee all aspects of accounts receivable and invoicing. You will effectively manage all accounts receivable processes.
- Plan and direct the daily activities of the Accounts Receivable and Billing department by providing leadership, direction, motivation and training of staff in order to maintain performance and quality of service (eight GCM members, two APS members and two STTRC members).
- Implement efficient processes for Shared Services Centre (SSC) financial services activities relating to accounts receivable and invoicing by monitoring service delivery and quality as well as compliance with the accounting principles applied by the Company.
- Ensure that relevant practices, processes and controls are in place to protect the Company’s assets.
- Analyze financial information to support the CSP Financial Services Director.
- Formulate recommendations to maximize the use of financial services offered by the CSP to staff and managers throughout the organization.
- Play a key role in the CSP management team.
- Ensure that controls are in place to mitigate the risks of human error or fraud that could result in errors or significant losses for the Company.
- Assume responsibility for required testing and recording of results.
- Produce multiple reports regularly including accounts receivable aging, IRCs, reconciliations, audit results and estimated credit losses.
- Preferably, a professional accounting designation of CPA (CGA, CMA or CA) or CCP (or final year of a recognized program).
- Three to five years of experience in accounts receivable or related field.
- Extensive experience in supervision and personnel management.
- Experience, training and expertise associated with SAP software and functional knowledge of other software packages enabling the production of reports and delivery of projects.
- Bilingualism required.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting in general.
- Ability to make recommendations on best practices in the sector.
- Ability to implement optimization strategies in collaboration with department management.
