As the Head of Shared Service Centre, you will report directly to the Finance Director. You will be leading a team of 55 people, with three direct reports. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the financial accounts, management accounts, payroll, and credit control departments. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring these departments operate efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

  • Lead Accounting and Reporting, Employee Services (including payroll), and Customer Accounts teams.
  • Manage IBSC service levels and ensure alignment with UK business expectations.
  • Collaborate with UK executive leadership and senior managers to address current and future departmental needs.
  • Serve as the dedicated point of contact for UK management to discuss service levels or raise issues.
  • Act as the final point of escalation for all in-scope departments, providing excellent relationship and stakeholder management.
  • Chair regular service level meetings to share KPI performance and agree on actions to optimise processes.
  • Set departmental strategies to meet business needs.
  • Manage FTE and cost budgets, including meeting efficiency targets.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to department heads, fostering their full potential.
  • Drive process improvements to capture end-to-end efficiencies.
  • Motivate and enthuse a large team, ensuring high productivity and accuracy within a positive and engaging culture.
  • Represent UK business interests in cross-centre strategy setting or prioritisation forums.
  • Oversee SSC management of external audit processes.
  • Lead cash management and forecasting efforts.
  • Support ESG reporting.
  • Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
