Coastal Contracting Company – our Shared Services division provides centralized support across the entire organization. We are searching for a strategic and results-oriented Associate Director – Supply Chain to join our team and play a key role in optimizing our construction project procurement and logistics. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain for our construction projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials at competitive costs.

  • Manage the development and implementation of efficient and cost-effective procurement strategies for construction materials and equipment.
  • Source, qualify, and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage supplier relationships, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory management system, optimizing stock levels and minimizing costs.
  • Track and monitor material deliveries, ensuring they meet project timelines and specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as material shortages or delays.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize procurement and logistics processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other departments to ensure project needs are met.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in construction supply chain management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, procurement processes, and logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in building and managing strong supplier relationships.
  • Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
