Under the supervision of the Agency Director and functional of the Administrative and Financial Director of the Shared Services Center, you will have the administrative and accounting function of the Gaspésie region. In your work week, you will perform, among other things, the following tasks: Assist agency directors (career and work).

  • Ensure the consistency and reliability of financial results;
  • Ensure the regularity of accounting, administrative, tax and financial management information, and compliance with deadlines;
  • Prevent and alert agency directors of potential risks and difficulties encountered (customer insolvency, non-compliance with the Labor Code, tax and social risks, non-compliance with the rules applicable to the award and execution of works contracts).

Ensure the accounting and financial management of the agencies:

  • Actively participate in the development of budgets, format them and ensure their monitoring;
  • Check the existence and conservation of accounting documents and administrative documents within legal deadlines, as well as the place and method of classification and archiving;
  • Lead and coordinate, with the agency head, meetings to review outstanding amounts, work to be invoiced, work invoiced in advance (positive and negative outstanding amounts) in the presence of project managers and sector managers.
  • Manage a team of around 12 people (accountant, accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk, payroll technician, etc.);
  • Lead and monitor the effectiveness of your team, precisely define the tasks of your colleagues (develop schedules) and monitor the proper execution of delegated work.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with eight (8) years of experience, or a DEC in accounting with fifteen (15) years of experience;
  • Master the accounting monitoring of different projects and at the cost price level;
  • Possess leadership qualities;
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness and motivation;
  • Be methodical and structured;
  • Have a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
  • Being a member of the CPA order (Asset);
  • Have experience in accounting auditing (asset);
  • Knowledge of SAP (asset).
