Our client is a multinational industrial group with a consolidated Shared Service Centre in Porto.
- Responsible for AR department with people responsibility and ownership of AR processes;
- Determine structure and division of task within the AR department;
- Establish quantitative and qualitative targets for the department and the team members;
- Conduct evaluation meetings and provide direction where necessary;
- Supervise the customer credit limit and oversee the company risk situation in compliance with internal policies;
- Supervise the cash collection and overdue reduction;
- Supervise the cooperation with credit insurance and factoring partners to minimize the company risk and maximize the cash flow position;
- Supervise the cooperation with sales department in order to set the right credit limit for the customer including joined customer visits;
- Coordinate comprehensive accounts receivables reporting to the divisions with insightful qualitative information;
- Provide support related to annual and interim audits in close cooperation with other departments and auditors;
- Control the service delivery in accounts receivable and meet service levels and performance standards set;
- Secure the process effectiveness and efficiency in accounts receivables and optimize processes in close cooperation with defined departments;
- Ensure best practice and continuous improvement philosophies are applied;
- Identify opportunities to grow sales through effective credit management.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Business or Economics or similar field;
- 7+ years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting or equivalent;
- 3+ years people responsibility experience;
- Experience within a Shared Service Centre environment and transition;
- Professional working proficiency in English and another European language (German, Italian, French, Spanish and Dutch preferred);
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
- Strong Leadership, Team Work and People Management skills;
- Excellent Planning and Organization;
- Persuasiveness and Negotiation skills;
- Effective business writing and professional communication skills;
- Strong analytical skills and experience to think in complex environments and work in global matrix organizations.
