To play an integral role as part of the Primary Care Services senior management team in setting and delivering the strategic agenda for the division.

To provide highly specialist advice to key stakeholders on potential breaches of payments, claiming and scanning protocols and/or escalation to local and National counter fraud services.

As a specialist within the organisation will work autonomously for most of their working day and will determine how departmental objectives are met. There will be a regular requirement to seek advice and work collaboratively with external bodies such as Professional clinical leads, Audit Services, Welsh Government, Health Boards and Contractors.

The post will be autonomously responsible for the operational management of the Contractor claims and payments, scanning and patient registration workforce across multiple sites in Wales, to ensure service continuity and to develop performance management and training across the sites.

The post holder has leadership and overall responsibility for leading, managing, developing, and providing strategic direction in respect of Contractor Claims, scanning services, Patient services and Modernisation and Technical teams on behalf of NWSSP – Primary Care Services (PCS), across Wales.

The post holder is required to work strategically, developing and leading effective service delivery of Contractor Claims, Scanning services, patient services and Modernisation and Technical teams to a broad client base across these three specific/individual areas.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The post holder will have a broad knowledge to deliver on a wide-ranging portfolio of work with significant experience of many aspects of service delivery within PCS.

The post holder will have overall accountability for the management of Contractor claims, Scanning and patient service teams and Modernisation and Technical teams within PCS and a plethora of complex specialist administrative functions across multiple locations and disciplines including Prescription processing, Contractor payments and patient registration services.
