We are currently seeking for The Finance Shared Services Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the shared services operations across multiple regions. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient transition during the ERP implementation process. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in innovating and streamlining accounting processes, helping EWS achieve its strategic goals. This position will play a key role in shaping the future of our finance operations, driving improvements, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Define the strategy for Shared Services Center, considering key components for short and long-term planning, such as the shared accounting services delivery model, scope, and coverage
- Execute the strategy, structure, and processes as per the design of Team Model, ensuring the implementation plan is monitored and corrective actions are taken as needed
- Oversee the finance services and support required by internal stakeholders
- Support the department’s data requirements for the operation and business teams – Forecast and Budget management
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policy documents
- Drive process optimization and improvements to ensure service efficiency as per agreed service level agreements
- Drive the use and integration of financial systems in ERP; provide inputs on improving the use of existing technology/systems
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies
- Establish effective governance mechanisms to ensure compliance and control
- Design and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information
- Regularly review and update internal control policies and procedures to address new risks and changes in the business environment
- Conduct internal control assessments and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to finalize and approve policies and implementation accounting handbooks
- Act as the point of contact for escalations and resolve accounting service issues
- Lead and manage a team within the shared services center, providing guidance and mentorship
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field
- Certification as CPD and/or CPA is advantageous
- Over 15 years of experience in finance/accounting, with a focus on start-up Shared Services environments
- Proven track record of managing multiple activities and priorities as a self-starter
- Experience in people management, with the ability to coach and develop team members
- Strong knowledge of both local and International Accounting Standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Intermediate IT skills, including experience with ERP systems, with the ability to interpret and maximize system functionalities
- Solid analytical and investigative skills to deliver value-added reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement and best practices
