Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the sound management of the overall financial resources and accounting processes of a shared service center.
- Strategic Oversight : Develop and lead financial strategies to align financial objectives with the company’s vision.
- Accounting and Administrative Cycle Management : Oversee the entire accounting and administrative cycle, including management of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly and annual closing operations.
- Preparation of financial statements : Ensure the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Budget Management : Develop, manage and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Financial Analysis : Perform in-depth financial analyses to support management’s strategic decisions.
- Cash management: Develop cash budgets and optimize flows.
- Management Control : Establish and monitor internal control processes to ensure financial integrity.
- Risk Management : Identify, assess and manage financial risks to minimize negative impacts on the business.
- Financing : Develop and implement financing strategies to support growth projects and capital needs.
- Partner Relations : Manage relationships with banks, auditors and other stakeholders.
- Cost Optimization : Design and implement strategies to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Information Systems : Develop, implement and maintain robust financial and accounting procedures to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance and tax planning : Ensure compliance and maximize tax benefits (CDAE, SR&ED).
- Supervision : Train and develop a high-performing financial team, promoting a collaborative and motivating work environment.
You are a good fit for the job if you….
- Education : University degree in finance or accounting. CPA designation an asset.
- Experience : Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an SME and/or in the IT sector.
- Communication : Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French (English an asset).
- Adaptability : Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment.
