People Architects is excited to recruit a Controller for our client, headquartered on the Westside of Cleveland.
- Establish financial processes to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Support information requests and provide accurate and timely requests to the President and Senior leadership when requested.
- Manage financial shared services, implementing strategic improvements across AR/AP and payroll.
- Meet all reporting requirements: monthly, quarterly, year-end, and tax reporting.
- Develop strategies to improve working capital and coordinate with international units.
- Review monthly statements for accuracy and compliance and prepare review packages for leadership.
- Support acquisition activity, compliance initiatives, and financial reporting.
- Prepare reports on Key Financial Metrics and consolidate non-financial reports for productivity initiatives and performance metrics.
- Minimize tax burden through effective global business planning.
- Provide technical support and coaching to global financial staff, ensuring implementation of Dover initiatives.
- Manage corporate accounting audits.
- Assist with special projects, process simplification, and Operating Company-specific initiatives.
- Analyze operations to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- 10+ years in professional accounting.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting; Master’s in Accounting/Finance desirable.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience in public accounting and as an Accounting Manager or Corporate Controller.
- Strategic thinker with experience in business and financial planning.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and negotiating skills.
- Ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Self-directed, ethical role model with professional credibility.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and decision-making skills
