We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Operations Manager in Addison, Texas 75254. This role involves overseeing the establishment and continuous expansion of a Global Shared Services Center (SSC). The successful candidate will be tasked with coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and implementing best practices for various transactional accounting processes. Hybrid work schedule. This is a 6-9 month contract position.
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of the shared services center.
- Establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure the smooth operation of the SSC.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and integration.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for supporting the creation and start-up of the SSC.
- Ensure that the International SSC understands compliance requirements for the various locations they are supporting, including local regulations and standards in each country.
- Identify and assist in the implementation of best practices for various shared services transactional accounting processes.
- Standardize and automate processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Continuously assess and improve the performance of SSC operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SSC initiatives and liaise with senior accounting officers.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and achievements to senior accounting officers.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for various stakeholders and work collaboratively with senior accounting officers on various initiatives related to ensuring the SSC is running smoothly.
- Develop and manage the budget for SSC projects, establish budget Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics, and monitor and report on financial performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and value creation.
- Must possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project management or related roles
- Expertise in Shared Services and Accounting operations is mandatory
- Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
- Extensive experience in using MOSS – MS Office SharePoint Server 2007
- Profound knowledge of MS Office 365, Microsoft Excel, and MS Project is required
- Excellent Communication Skills are required
- Proven experience in BPR – Business Process Re-engineering is necessary
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the country
- Must be able to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach are crucial
- High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information securely.
