Selective is seeking a Director who will provide oversight and direction to the Shared Services department in support of regional employees, Agents and Customers. Lead technical support team which provides services that use and trains on our technology. First line of defense for systems used by employees and agents to provide incident resolution. Demonstrate superior leadership capability, excellent relationship building and customer service skills. Maintain policy integrity through corrective action. Provide support to key stakeholders.
- Responsible for the management and direction setting for the Shared Services Unit. setting priorities, coordinating, and reporting of activities and projects.
- Maintain KPI’s through managing service and productivity measures.
- Review and own maintance of procedures and workflows for accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency, propose changes as needed.
- Manage departmental budget and monitor controls consistent with department objectives. Provides analysis of all expense plan budget variances. Identifies and implements needed actions.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to maintain policy integrity and develop plans related to processes, procedures and system changes.
- Actively manage all aspects of talent management for assigned unit. This will include recruiting & hiring, monitoring employee performance, working with employees on development plans, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, developing business objectives.
- Strong understanding of process and functions performed by field staff and agents in Commercial and Personal Lines, E&S and Claims.
- Ability to motivate, lead, develop and retain high-performing teams that provide excellent customer service.
- Insurance exposure a plus.
- IT system familiarity.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate status and provide updates to a variety of audiences.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- College degree preferred.
- 7+ years Business Analysis and/or project management or other related experience.
- 7+ years management experience.
- 3-5 years of leading others, Process improvement agility.
