People Services is an end-to-end process organization, which consolidates the following activities: Employee Life Cycle activities (from hiring till offboarding); Payroll, Benefits, time & personnel administration; Training administration; HR analytics & reporting; Employee query handling.
- Service Delivery:
- Accountable for the efficient delivery of an end-to-end service: Employee Life Cycle activities (from hiring till offboarding); Payroll, Benefit, Time & Personnel administration; HR analytics & reporting; Employee query handling.
- Ensure that these end-to-end services are highly efficient, cost-effective, high quality and agile in order to meet customer satisfaction (Sanofi employees, GBUs, M&S, R&D, Support Functions) and achieve strategic KPI targets.
- In line with the global core operating model, these strategic KPI results need to be continuously tracked and improve performance (cost, efficiency, quality, customer service).
- Create a culture of cooperation, collaboration and teamwork across the People Services Teams of the Cluster and ensure a smooth interface to the relevant stakeholders inside and outside of Business Operations.
- Ensure Compliance and Internal Control standards for People Services Activities are met. Perform necessary controls and act as a role model, in line with all ethical & compliance rules of the Group.
- Meeting the target of cost-planning and budget-responsibility (for internal and external resources)
- Process Management:
- Implement standard processes defined by the Target Operating Model (designed by the Global Process Owners and Regional Process Managers) on Cluster Level, manage deviations to these standard processes in order to ensure relevant processes’ efficiency.
- Closely collaborate with Global Process Owners and Regional Process Managers to support the design and implementation of key People Services Projects within the operations. Leverage operational experience and contribute to global design of standard processes / contribute to regional standard process design.
- Ensure that key People Services Projects deliver the expected benefits in terms of efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Create the culture of Continuous Improvement in the Cluster, forcing to review processes end to end, and improve them to achieve benefits for all customers and stakeholders.
- Shared Services / Outsorucing (BPO): Supervise the service delivery of any outsourced activities (Central Hub in Budapest as well as Payroll Administration Outsourcing to Payroll Provider) in the perimeter incl. tracking of contractually agreed KPIs, quality of service, management controls.
- People Management: Lead the People Services Process with a solid line management responsibility for People Services Managers/Teams in Germany.
- Experience:
- Min. 5 years of experience in support functions, operations
- Experience of working within a Shared Services / BPO model
- Direct work experience in P&C Processes and their delivery is an advantage
- Track record of having effectively managed large efficiency improvement programs with a multitude of individual projects
- International background with exposure to multicultural environments is a plus
- Experience in LEAN Management and Continuous Improvement Initiatives is a plus
- Soft and technical skills:
- Very good understanding of a Shared Services/ Business Process Outsourcing operating model.
- Very good understanding of relevant People Services, P&C, Procurement, Finance and Legal processes.
- Very good program and project management skills (ability to identify problems and define solutions incl. implementation plans in a structured manner).
- Good understanding of common Information System (IS) solutions used within People Services @ Sanofi.
- Ability to think strategically and take a helicopter view, but also be able to deep dive into operational problems when required.
- Leadership skills: Ability to shape culture, shape Business Operations sense of belonging, motivate a large group of people to work towards a common set of goals.
- Personality with strong delivery skills and focused on results.
- Very good communicator with an ability to discuss on executive level within Sanofi and externally.
- Education: University degree in Economics, Business Administrations, or related field of studies or equivalent experience
- Languages: Fluent in English as well as German
