The Director Global Accounting Shared Services is responsible for the day-to-day management of accounting personnel in India who assist US accounting operations, including GL reporting, Accounts Payable and Collections, process management and month-end accounting.

This hybrid role will require balancing technical accounting expertise with the ability to foster a positive and collaborative culture within the shared service center.

  • Manage team of 8 (currently) in Hyderabad and liaise with US managers.
  • Assist with strategic initiatives related to P2P and O2C business cycles.
  • Review journal entries and certify month-end tasks and reconciliations.
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist with year-end audit requests and other related activities.
  • Supervise collection activities, including regular reviews with team members.
  • Support the team in handling and resolving billing issues and disputes.
  • Liaise with the commissions team in relation to adjustments and clawbacks as applicable.
  • Ensure timely communication with key vendors to facilitate a positive working relationship.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure. the integrity of financial records.
  • Support team needs, and coordinate cross-functional efforts, as needed to ensure efficient. business processes.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training and. maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding processes for new team members as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the hybrid work environment balancing in-office and remote work dynamics.
  • Promote and uphold a positive and inclusive team culture, aligned with the company’s values. and mission.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and. accuracy in transactional processes.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
  • Qualified CA/CPA with 10+ yrs of relevant Accounts Payable (including expense reporting),.
  • Collections and GL Reporting experience with global entities.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong proficiency with Oracle Netsuite, Microsoft Office Suite; advance knowledge of.
  • Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience in transitioning processes from western locations to a shared service center, and. in harmonizing processes.
  • Experience in managing a hybrid workforce, ensuring engagement and productivity in both. remote and in-office settings.
  • Ability to prioritize and think strategically while supporting a team that deals with a high volume of transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maturity and ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to stretch for extended time zone requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams and developing talent.
