Our client within the manufacturing industry has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Shared Services with the proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This Director of Shared Services will focus on ensuring the accuracy of financial information to safeguard the company’s assets by managing the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Property, and General & Administrative (G& A) Accounting teams. The role involves setting a strategy to improve processes and department efficiency and partnering with the management teams of all business units to provide quality services and drive business growth.

• Monitor internal controls for the selected business units, supervise balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries and reporting to ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory norms.
• Cooperate with the management team to find ways of boosting profitability.
• Aid in the annual budget and monthly prediction processes and undertake special tasks to boost business procedures and departmental efficiency.
• Examine and finish impromptu analyses to back the business and provide earnings and expenditure (P& L) reports.
• Support business unit leaders in controlling the procedures for long and short-term financial planning, focusing on crucial balance sheet indices, full income statements with an aim of offering analytical understanding and accelerating revenues.
• Take the lead, manage, inspire, engage and boost the skills of the accounting personnel to guarantee that accounting necessities, controls, and services are precisely, punctually, and cost-effectively delivered.

The ideal Director of Shared Services will have a Bachelors degree in Finance. Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.

Other requirements for the Director of Shared Services role include and are not limited to:

• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Food industry experience preferred
• Strong leadership
• Oracle Fusion experience preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge
