The Global Process Owner, Buy-to-Pay (B2P), will be responsible to drive the Global B2P corporate strategy. Initial focus on building the global infrastructure, establishing, growing and managing the offshore outsource model team and assist with managing the B2P portion of the contract. The B2P leader will work very closely with the internal stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate B2P services.
Transformation:
- Support design and implementation of the Global B2P scope function
- Ensure optimal use and adaptation of ERP / enabling technologies, in partnership with IT, related to B2P function.
Continuous Improvement:
- Support identification and prioritization of Continuous Improvements impacting the B2P function.
Standards & Controls:
- Design people, process, and technology standards for end-to-end B2P process at Corporate level
- Establish and maintain an appropriate control environment within the B2P function.
Policies & Procedures:
- Ensure development and implementation of B2P standards that support the business needs
- Develop and maintain accurate B2P operational procedures, including Desk Top Procedures (DTPs) used by the outsource team.
Process:
- Improve and implement B2P end-to-end process.
- Work with key stakeholders across the process, to ensure the process is ”fit for purpose”.
- Assist stakeholders in the resolution of complex or non-routine issues within scope area
People:
- Work with stakeholders across the end to end process, to review staff activities and provide the support needed to ensure appropriate quality and staff productivity within insource and outsourced teams.
- Provide input into the performance process including reviews and staff development
Performance:
- Set performance targets and Service Level Agreement thresholds with outsource provider.
- Monitor contract performance and negotiate changes, as required, for B2P portion of the contract.
Work Experience:
- 8+ years’ experience in B2P environment including leadership position(s) of increasing responsibilities, in a GPO position.
- Leadership experience within an outsourced or shared services B2P function.
- Ideally experience of implementing technology solutions within the B2P area.
- Thorough understanding of B2P function, with deep experience in B2P processes
- Significant experience and use of ERP software (SAP) and supporting B2P technology.
- Previous success in similar role required.
Education or Certification:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent experience desired.
- Certified Accounts Payable Practitioner certification or equivalent highly preferred.
