Country FDs should work collaboratively, guide in-country Finance and other staff, whether or not they report to the FD, and may include management of shared services.
- Developing and implementing, in conjunction with Group Finance, a Finance plan for Mexico covering financing, banking, tax, Maquila Strategy, transfer price studies, and treasury.
- Acting as the senior representative of Morgan in relation to banks, government departments and other external bodies.
- Overseeing the Finance talent pipeline for Mexico, ensuring that development options and succession planning is in place.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate filing of all tax and statutory returns, accounts and reports.
- Attending internal and external audits, ensuring timely implementation of remedial actions.
- Overseeing the implementation of new corporate policies within the country.
- Agreeing on a plan with Group leadership in support of the Morgan Code and ensuring its implementation.
- Carrying out financial or ethical investigations as required with appropriate support.
- Coordinating the IMMEX Certification processes.
- Preparing minutes for decree of dividends.
- Supporting the GBUs on request with senior-level in-country expertise and leadership, for instance with customer visits or when developing investment or other plans.
- Taking part in acquisition or similar strategic projects at the request of the CFO or GBUs.
- Being the senior representative of Morgan to coordinate all Pension related activity, ensuing IAS19 data is completed on time, including reviewing and registering actuarial studies.
- Leading shared services teams, if relevant.
- Being a legal representative of one or more entities, as required.
Requirements of Role:
- Graduate with a degree in Finance and/or business
- Certified Public Accountant qualification desirable
- 8 to 10 years of recent Senior Financial Leadership
- Fluency in local language and advance English
- Previous experience of working within a large organization is preferable
- Strong people management skills and cultural awareness
- Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A role model for leading others to adopt safe behaviours.
